Ashley has been practicing psychotherapy in Redding since 2013. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology through California Southern University in 2010, and her Master of Arts in Psychology through California Southern University where she graduated Cum Laude in 2013.

Ashley has an Integrative Psychotherapy approach, which responds appropriately to the client utilizing the therapy approach that best fits for them. She believes that an important aspect in therapy is building a therapeutic relationship with trust and a connection. She enjoys working with adults, teens, tweens, and families with her field of focus being survivors of narcissism, postpartum, bipolar, anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, and grief and loss.

Some of the specialty trainings Ashley has received include: Brainspotting, TF:CBT, Fundamentals of Trauma Processing, AMSR (Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk), Postpartum Depression, Narcissism Abuse and Gaslighting Treatment, EAP, and ACEs.

Ashley worked at Victor Treatment Center, the local level 14 group home, with severely emotionally disturbed children and teens in both the group homes and their school setting.

When first starting in this field she worked at Voices conducting home based and school therapy. For three years Ashley worked at a NVCSS with toddlers, children, teens, adults, and families in office, school, and community environments. While there she also conducted group therapy for teen girls who struggled with low self-esteem, depression, and engaged in self-harm and suicidal behaviors. During this time period, the majority of her caseload was 5150 teens.

Before licensure and after completing the 3,000 hours, Ashley worked as an associate under her mom, Dr. Patricia L. Bay, Psy.D., LMFT, where she learned many successful tools and integrative interventions to utilize in her current practice.

Another area of focus for Ashley is EAP (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy). She is trained in the EAGALA model for this where everything is groundwork, meaning there is no riding involved during sessions. However, she is currently not conducting any EAP sessions, but plan to again the future.

Ashley has been in private practice since 2017 and is also a clinical supervisor for associates in her private practice and a subcontracted clinical supervisor with NVCSS. In addition, she is also a therapist on BetterHelp and TalkSpace.

Ashley is a native to Redding, California. She moved away after high school for six years. During this time she attended Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington, and later moved to southern California to complete her schooling journey.  She currently resides on the outskirts of Redding with my husband, and 5-year-old son where they run their small farm, Back Country Farm where they have goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, pigs, and dogs. Ashley enjoys spending time with my family, fishing, hunting, being outdoors, being around animals, art, playing my music (harp, piano, and singing), and much more.
