Elders & Eldering

Dr. Greg White will present a CAMFT session on “Elders and Eldering.”  This presentation will be some part lecture and some part small group discussion with feedback to the whole audience on of issues related to Elders.  He will focus on (1) Cultural meanings of Elders as holders of Wisdom, (2) Elders are not Seniors, (3) Qualities of Elders and Eldering, (4) Counseling Elders, (5) Elders as supports for clients, and (6) Psychotherapists as (sometimes) Elders.  If possible, before you attend reflect on people you have known whom you think of as an “Elder” in some positive way.  Feel free to share during the talk about your own experiences counseling “Elders.”
