What does it mean to be "Captain Awesome"?
In Shasta County, we see twice the national rate of suicide death. Most of those lost are men.
Our new campaign encourages men to equip themselves with the tools needed to build resilience, reach out for expert advice when needed, and have someone's back when they're struggling.
Could you be the next Captain Awesome? Know someone you'd like to nominate? Contact Amy Sturgeon for information on our next Captain Awesome photo shoot or to obtain posters and other printed campaign materials to help us spread the word!
