PRACTICAL EMOTIONAL REGULATION SKILLS TO BUILD RESILIENCE AND MANAGE STRESS AND TRAUMA

Let’s come together and build a practical tool box that we can share with the people we serve in order to build emotional resilience and manage the load of stress and trauma that many of our people carry with them.  People who navigate through the world without basic emotional regulation skills feel overwhelmed, anxious, agitated, and helpless much of the time.  This is the central operating state for many of our people in Shasta County who have experienced ongoing developmental trauma with little emotional support and sometimes the base state of many of us care providers who see much and sometimes forget to care for ourselves.   These non-verbal techniques can be done in minutes and taught to a child.

I have had the great pleasure to be a part of three wonderful humanitarian organizations who are working furiously to develop web based materials and live trainings the world over.   I am so excited to share these simple skills with you in this experiential workshop.   Check out our websites for a preview.
