The 3000 club is a gathering of interns, trainees, and students. Each month a clinical member of our chapter will present on a topic based on their area of expertise.  Attendees will have the opportunity for education, community, networking and mentorship.
This month's meeting will be  May  8,  from 8:30 to 9:30 at
Creekside Counseling Center
1170 Industrial Ave.

Greg White will be presenting on
Mindful Self-Compassion

Greg White is a clinical and social psychologist who for 18 years has directed the MA Counseling Program at National University.  He has 40+ years clinical experience using a wide variety of clinical methods.

This presentation will be on mindful self-compassion training.  Surveys indicate that about 70% of adult Americans are low on self-compassion, and over 600 studies have validated various applications of self-compassion methods and outcomes.

He will focus on the basics of self-compassion methods that can be taught to clients and used by therapists in those moments of self-doubt and  self-blame.

Questions and inquires can be directed to Teri Watts, Pre-licensed member-at-large at teriwatts.therapist@gmail.com.   Clinical members are encouraged to contact Teri and make arrangements to present as soon as possible as the calendar will fill up quickly.
