Emotional First Aid
Tools to Treat Stress & Trauma
Action on!!! Let’s come together and review the practical tools we have developed to build emotional resilience and manage the huge load of stress and trauma that the Carr fire brought to our community. Now we all understand the impact of trauma that is a daily experience for many in Shasta County. We will review the portable and efficient emotional regulation skills presented last year and put our hearts together to understand how we can build teams or individual humanitarian actions to bring these skills to our people. In the Carr Fire and Camp Fire outreach, these skills where invaluable in helping people to become resilient in the face of great tragedy.
I have had the great pleasure to be a part of three wonderful humanitarian organizations who are working furiously to develop web-based materials and live trainings the world over. I am so excited to share these simple skills and how they were brought to our community in the fire recovery. Check out our websites for a preview.
