DaLene Forester, PhD has been Licensed as an MFT since 1996 and as a LPCC since 2013. She obtained her master’s in psychology from Chico State (1993) and her PhD in Psychology from California Southern University (2009).  DaLene maintains an active private practice specializing in the treatment of Eating Disorders and Anxiety Disorders with a special passion for work with Posttraumatic Stress.

Major accomplishments:

• ·   A Charter member of the local Redding Regional Chapter of CAMFT. Served on the local Chapter Board of Directors as President, President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and Speaker/CE Coordinator.
• ·   CAMFT Approved Supervisor
• ·   EMDR Certified Therapist, Approved Consultant and Trainer (EMDRIA).
• ·   Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) and Supervisor (iaedp foundation).
• ·   Published two chapters in EMDR Solutions II, R Shaprio (ed.), W.W. Norton & Company, 2009.
• ·   Served as the 2016 President of EMDRIA, serving on the EMDRIA Board for 5 years.
• ·   Founded the Advanced Education Institute (2017) where she provides clinical trainings to Mental Health professionals in EMDR Therapy, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Clinical Supervision, Clinical Treatment of Eating Disorders and more.
• ·   Presented professionally at the AAMFT, EMDRIA, WPA, and EMDR Canada Conferences.
• ·   Published one chapter in Trauma-Informed Approaches to Eating Disorders, A. Seubert and P. Virdi (ed.) Springer Publishing Company, LLC, 2019
