Bio:

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist & Co-Clinical Director at Creekside Counseling Center, Inc.

I obtained my BA in Psychology from National University in 2010. I worked with at risk teens, disabled teens and adults in group homes while beginning a degree in social work at University of Southern California. Life happened, and I switched gears from social work to counseling psychology. While working on my MA in Counseling Psychology at National University I worked for an elementary school district. I received some of my training as a therapist while volunteering through the Shasta County Office of Education. I started working at Creekside as a trainee in April 2015. I graduated from National with my master’s degree in the summer of 2015 and continued to work at Creekside as an intern and now as a licensed therapist since May 2018.

I work with kids from ages 3-18, adults, and even the occasional family or couple. I am Level 3 Triple P certified. I am trained in EMDR and TF-CBT. I have also received continuing education related to Self-regulation in children with Autism, Asperger’s, Sensory Processing Disorder & ADHD; Play therapy for children, adolescents and adults; Oppositional Defiant & Disruptive children and adolescents, and an introduction to DBT. I also work with a lot of mood disorders. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and always working on various other trainings and certifications that involve trauma, autism, adhd, children, mood disorders, and my other interests.

I come from a largish family and grew up in Shasta County. I graduated from Shasta High and Shasta College. I am a happily married mother of four. We also have three dogs, three cats, and two bearded dragons. I love being outdoors, playing board and card games, listening to music, and I have an affinity for sci-fi and fantasy.

The best part about my job is the opportunity to watch people grow and heal. It’s a journey not a race.
