This lecture will first review updates for both Adult Protective and Child Protective laws in the State of California for mental health providers. This lecture will review what the definition of abuse and neglect are for both children and adults.
This lecture will provide resources for reporting to both CWS and APS in Shasta County.
Learning Objectives: As a participant, you will have a better understanding of the current CWS and APS reporting laws, how to process with your clients, and where to report and provide resources.
This lecture will finish with group vignettes, and quizzes with rewards for correct answers.
