Learning Objectives:

A. Participants will be able to describe the difference between an eating disorder and disordered eating.

B. Participants will be able to articulate the 4 phases of trauma informed treatment.

C. Participants will be able to discuss how to assess/evaluate an eating disorder.

D. Participants will be able to list at least 3 techniques to assist in the preparation phase of treatment.

E. Participants will be able to identify both big T and little t traumas that may lead to the development of an eating disorder.

F. Participants will be able to discuss the reevaluation and integration phases of trauma informed treatment.

DaLene Forester is a local therapist here in Redding. DaLene was licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 1996. She has been the Redding Regional CAMFT president 3 times and held the positions of president elect, secretary, treasurer, membership chair and speaker coordinator.  

In 2005 she became a CAMFT Certified Supervisor and has mentored numerous supervisees over the years. She currently serves on the CAMFT Certified Supervisor Program Committee.

In 2007 She founded the Advanced Education Institute (AEI) where she teaches and trains EMDR, Clinical Supervision, Trauma Focused Treatments and various trainings on the assessment and treatment of eating disorders.

In 2009 DaLene obtained her PhD from California Southern University and in 2013 obtained her license as a Professional Clinical Counselor.
